Twitter might be the most resourceful social media platform out there.
Okay, I will be very transparent and tell you that I ‘did not care’ for Twitter until the last couple of months. Since I created my account in 2010, I have made multiple attempts to use the platform and just couldn’t figure it out and see how to find a use for it. It wasn’t until I started following @garyvee and tuned in on how he not only uses all the social platforms but especially Twitter.
Since, I have actually evolved quickly to Twitter as my go-to platform to everything from news, technical information, and seeing what my current influencers are talking about. I think I have finally got why it is a great platform especially for creators.
Twitter lists are a game-changer.
There are many reasons why I have come to enjoy Tweetland but one of the biggest things that made a difference in my engagement was Twitter lists. Like other platforms, we get inundated with so much information on the main feed that we need a way to hone in on exactly what you want to view. Lists provide that ability and another plus is you don’t have to be a ‘follower’ of someone to add them to your list. Currently, I have 8 lists that keep me on point with all I need to know and helps me to focus in on the community that I want to be engaged with.
I encourage you to use Twitter to promote your brand and engage with those in your field of interest. If you just give it an honest effort, I am certain you’ll find its value.
Keep on tweeting!
And, oh yeah! Let’s connect. @briansuman
