Notice the title doesn’t include ‘photograph’, edit, post, repeat and there is a reason for it. I have been a bandwagon lately of suggesting that you re-purpose an old photo by editing that same image all over again. Or, better yet, look for those gems in your catalog of shots that you may have initially rejected or overlooked. The image above is a an example of a shot taken last Winter that I never edited however, at another glance yesterday I felt it was decent enough for me to edit and continue to hone in on my black and white editing. And I didn’t have to pick up the camera.
I am in no way advocating that we neglect our camera and gear just merely offering the thought that when we are too busy to go and shoot something new, feel uninspired, want to try new techniques, or we want continue to log our 10,000 editing hours to become that expert… open your catalog and look for those gems.
Edit, post, repeat.
