Feel stuck in a rut with you editing?
Then try something you have never done before.
Maybe it means to color grade your image with a different color palette that you use most often. Try black and white instead of color. Duplicate the image and create something with symmetry.
There are so many options especially with software but like anything else, we can’t train our eye to see anything different than how we already look at something unless we look at something differently. We have to try different.
As I was editing the image above, I saw the opportunity to make the corridor longer by creating three additional copies of the same shot and then scaling them accordingly. Nothing super technical or crazy but just enough to add more dimension and interest in the photo.
Often times a single photo offers more the just one way to view it. We have to look for it. We have to try different.
